Destiny's Delta Book Summary

Short-Summary:

It's been twelve years since she picked the wrong brother...

Destiny Fisher is ready to move past the guilt and shame of losing a fiancé to the war in Afghanistan twelve years ago. She never should've said yes to his proposal in the first place, and she's been plagued by her choices for over a decade.

She was his biggest regret...

Trent Dawkins has been married to the army ever since he walked away from his brother's funeral...and the woman he loved. Delta Team Three is his family. Destiny has avoided him for all these years. Does seeing him remind her of his brother?

Can the two of them face their demons and move forward?

A chance encounter leads to a flood of emotional baggage. Neither of them is certain they can repair the damage. There are so many obstacles. Distance, secrets, a threat to Trent's life… Maybe they weren't meant to be.

** Destiny's Delta is the 2nd book in the Delta Team Three Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

** Operation Alpha is a fan-fiction world for Susan Stoker's novels. The characters in this series were introduced in Stoker's Delta Team Two series, specifically, book two, Shielding Kinley. You don't have to read that book to be engrossed in this series, but why wouldn't you want to? Enjoy!

Trent and Destiny ‘s journey to falling in love was full of “feels” from start to finish. Trent felt he was protecting Des by not telling her that Fahrid was out to kill him . Finished this book in 2 1/2 hrs recommend it to everyone Becca Jameson did a great job.

I just don't understand why men think they need to protect their women. Many women are strong and resilient and don't need protecting. And Zip learns this the hard way when Destiny walks out. Childhood friends that had been estranged due to many communication issues, Zip should have known better. But no, he was being a man. Will Des give him a second chance?

Trent, Sean, and Destiny were attached at the hip growing up. They did everything together. As twins, Trent and Sean were best friends but vastly different. Trent was the funny one, while Sean was the serious one. Destiny rounded out the group and was the daughter the Dawkin’s didn’t have. Destiny lived with her grandma, but spent all her spare time with Trent and Sean’s parents as they gladly welcomed Destiny into their “family”. Everything was fine, until Sean asked Destiny on a date that eventually led to them being engaged. This devastated Trent as he “knew” that Destiny was “the one”, but he couldn’t deny his brother’s happiness. Trent and Sean enlisted in differing branches of the military. Trent came home, but Sean didn’t. Fast forward 12yrs....Trent spots Destiny at the Ugly Mug bar. She’s there on a layover, enjoying the evening with her girlfriends and fellow stewardesses. Trent decides enough is enough. Destiny has avoided him since Sean’s funeral. Trent thinks she’s avoided him because he’s a painful reminder of what she lost with Sean. He is sooo wrong! After one too many shots, Destiny blurts out her secrets.... This novel is different from the rest in that there wasn’t an attempt on Destiny, but on Zip himself. In a previous rescue mission, Woof and Nori’s story-book one, Zip’s identity is blown. Thus, leading to an attempt on his life. It is action-packed, suspenseful, a tear-jerker at times, but does end in a HEA! Very enjoyable. I didn’t like that Destiny was so concerned about our’s opinions, but her grandma straightened her out! I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.

I received this book as an ARC. This is the second book in the Delta Team Three series. Destiny met twin brothers Trent and Sean when she moved in next door to them when she was five years old and they were BFF right from the start. Right until Sean asked her out on a date. From that day forward, Trent started backing away from them because he was the one that was truly in love with her. When they finally meet up twelve years later, all of their hopes, dreams and secrets come pouring out. Just like that they are back in love again until a mission almost breaks them apart. The suspense of this novel will have you reading into the wee hours of the morning.
