Shaken Book Summary

Short-Summary:

A see yourself out note isn’t how you want to celebrate the morning after your first one-night stand.

The first time I meet Archer Callahan is when I block him in a parking spot.
The second is a fender bender.
The third is at a bar, drinking away our problems, and finding our way to his bed.

I never expected to see him again.
That changes when a month later, he’s introduced as my brother’s new business partner.
In need of a job, I’m hired at their bar, much to Archer’s dismay.

We hate each other.
We’re off-limits.
But every time we’re together, flashbacks of that night shake through us.
We push, we pull, until one of us breaks.

I want to read more. I don’t like him just proposing and then ending it.

I love the stand-alones and structure of your writing! You can dive deep and get the whole experience by focusing on each “couple” as you go rather than slamming them all in the same book! It’s so captivating I couldn’t put it down if i tried!
  • This series keeps getting better!

This series keeps getting better! After Archer and Georgia spend a night together as strangers, and shortly after find out they are linked in more ways than the one night. Archer co-owns a bar with Georgia’s brother, and when she starts working there after getting laid off, it makes things difficult for Archer. From the beginning of the book I was dying to find out what made Archer not want to be involved with anyone and what was the pivotal moment in his life, and thankfully Georgia didn’t take no for an answer and kept on him until he finally wore down. This couple was one I found myself rooting for constantly, and I was so happy they got their HEA together! They are somewhat opposites, with Archer being very standoff-ish and Georgia being very sweet, and it really works for them in the chemistry department. I can’t wait for the next installment to see this group of friends find their HEA while also getting the connection from Charity’s previous series! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

  • Charity Made Me Fall in Love With Archer

Shaken is the second book in Charity's new series, Twisted Fox. Georgia is the younger sister to Cohen (book 1) and Archer is his friend/business partner. Brother's best friend is MY JAM. So I didn't like Archer at first. For a while, actually. Every time I started to change my view of him, he'd do something infuriating. But I LOVED everything about Georgia and when they were good, they were SO GOOD. I don't know how Charity did it but she made me fall in love with him, and I think that's a huge deal for authors. Changing readers' minds about characters isn't always easy, but near the end of the book I couldn't deny that Georgia and Archer were perfect. He just wasn't smart enough to see it early on. I do think Shaken can be read as a stand alone, but you're definitely missing out if you don't read Stirred. Now I'm waiting patiently for Lincoln's book!
  • Dull and annoying

I LOVED the first book, but this entire book was just Archer going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth with his feelings for Georgia. I didn’t feel the connection between them, and frankly if a man ever treated me or said the things to me that Archer said to her over years of pushing me away, I most definitely wouldn’t sit around waiting for someone who treated me like a virus. Regardless of the fact he was pushing her away because he was “bad for her”. I had to push through finishing this book which surprised me because I usually love the author and really loved the first book. This was a absolute dud for me. I don’t like love stories that seem forced or that the man doesn’t actually care about the woman.
  • A beautiful heartwarming story

This is the second book in the twisted fox series & a stand-alone. Even though I haven’t read the first story. I still enjoyed this book . I wish I had read the first book as well. This book has all the feels and the angst , it could be put in a second chance love story category but it’s so much more . The story was captivating and quite emotional at times . I loved Archer and Georgia characters. Their story kept me captivated and turning the pages. Both of them have been thought a lot but where Georgia is all happy and has a quite sunny personality. Archer is quite and has a mysterious persona. From the first moment these two meet which was quite cute these two keep on running into each other . The chemistry between them is quite strong but Archer keeps on pushing away . The story is heartwarming and at times heartbreaking. It’s thought provoking at times . We shouldn’t let our emotions and anger rule us . Something by the time we realize it’s too late and we are only left with guilt. My heart broke for Archer for what he was growing through. It’s a very well written and beautiful story with well developed characters. I devoured this story & can’t wait to go back read the first book in the series and for the next book In this series.
